Meet the Team

Buddy founded Superior Planning in Cleveland OH in 1982 and relocated to San Diego, California, in 1987. He is the creator of the Superplan® family wealth and relationship enrichment process, providing families all they need to set goals and make well-informed personal financial decisions in an engaging, comprehensive, and easy-to-use format.

A dedicated thought leader, Buddy holds a Psychology degree with an Economics minor, has authored four books and dozens of articles, made a myriad of personal appearances, and produced hundreds of educational videos on the topic of family wealth.

Buddy and his team are committed to helping families do all they can to enhance their lifestyle, build their portfolios, and leave dignified legacies.

He is also an active member and serves on boards of numerous local and national community and professional organizations.

Susan brings a varied background of an Accounting degree from Illinois Wesleyan University, a successful career in internal auditing with a Fortune 50 company, and a decade in academic leadership to her role at Superior Planning.

Susan is passionate about people and is energized by intricate, seemingly impossible challenges and coming up with effective solutions which complement the family's vision and goals.

Gabby provides operational support to the principal planners and is responsible for all aspects of client services for new and existing clients.

With over 10 years of experience in the financial services industry, she’s dedicated to providing excellent customer service with attention to detail and efficiency.

Liz's activities revolve around the business of Superior Planning. As Administration Officer tasked with Human Resources and Client Relations, Liz's main focus is on client family comfort and the Superior Planning team, providing a pleasant work and meeting environment for everyone who walks through the door. Liz also can be credited for planning amazing client events.
