M. Elizabeth Thomas, M.A.

Administration Officer 

After eight years in the banking industry in Ohio, Liz joined Superior Planning when it relocated to San Diego from Cleveland in 1987.

She stepped away for a few years to pursue her passion for teaching keeping her hand in the business overseeing the firm’s financials and administration; and later returned fulltime as Administration Officer with a broad array of additional responsibilities including human resources, facilities, and event planning.

Liz oversaw the relocation of Superior Planning’s offices in 2019, creating an environment that is both professional and comfortable for our staff, as well as our affiliated family members.

She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in education, and a Master of Arts in Educational Technology. A Certified Bookkeeper, Liz continues to update her skills with workshops and seminars in both human resources and bookkeeping/accounting practices.

Among her many community activities, Liz is on three non-profit boards and acts as a mentor to single mothers-to-be for a local maternity home.  Helping others achieve their goals is a passion of hers.

Liz and Buddy were married in 1985 and have two adult sons. Her favorite activities include reading (currently in two book clubs), bible study, walking, traveling, and most important, spending time with family.
