The Magic is in the Planning
Envisioning your goal and planning on reaching it is relatively easy compared with executing your plan and seeing it through. As you watch today’s 55 seconds, you may want to ask yourself:
Planning is a never ending art form for continued education, growth, and success…if you choose to embrace it as such.
Look around … everything you see made by a person is the result of a plan…and none of them got it right the first time.
Dwight Eisenhower, the lead general who won World War II, said: “The plan is nothing, the planning is everything.”
Planning is a verb. It means constant modifications in response to results. Your plan may seem direct when you start, but eventually reality Takes over.
When the Apollo 13 moon mission failed due to something they had not planned on, it was the more than 10 years of planning they had done that enabled them to get the crew home safely.
Planning takes courage, imagination, flexibility, perseverance, and adaptation after adaptation,
Reaching your goal is great, but what is even better is what you learn along the way.
