Welcome to Your Family Office 2021
Superior Planning’s 38th Anniversary Celebration
It’s that time of year again for our annual family appreciation event. And like everything else this year, it’s going to be different because no one wants to get Covid for the holidays, but that doesn’t mean we have to break from tradition. It just happens to be this video.
Our goals for this event are the same every year. First and foremost, to show our appreciation for you, Second, to shed some light on a current planning issue …and third, to kick off the holiday season.
So, to all our client families, and collaboration and resource partners, on behalf of Kelly, Ryan, Liz, and myself, let me say…Thank you from the bottom of our hearts,
- Thank you for the confidence you have placed in us
- Thank you for committing to the planning process
- Thank you for challenging us
- Thank you for co-creating with us
- Thank you for trusting us with your family’s futures, and
- Thank you for watching this video instead of coming to a party.
We have all heard Mike Tyson’s quote that “Everybody has a plan until they get punched in the face.”
If nothing else, 2020 has showed us that we can all take a punch.
Each of you has demonstrated remarkable resilience in facing the reality of the shifting normal, adapting as needed and carrying on despite the feelings of uncertainty and helplessness we are all experiencing. Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Aung (Chi) said, “If you are feeling helpless…help someone.” This sentiment is especially relevant in these times. It is going to be a tough holiday for many people.
According to the better business bureau, more than 80% of charities anticipate their revenues will go down this tear…while a significant number of them are experiencing an increase in expenses and a decrease in volunteer hours.
As always, the best way to give is to give with your heart… several of you have already found ways to support those who are struggling and you know the impact you have made on their lives.
But no matter who you give to, whether big or small, you are making a difference and your contributions are greatly appreciated.
If you would like to explore some of the ways you might be able to contribute to others who could use your help during the holiday season, and you are looking for ideas please let us know. We will be happy to help.
As these very unusual holidays unfold before us, please know that Kelly, Ryan, Liz and I wish you and your families a joyful season full of faith, hope, and good cheer and that we are here for you to do what we can to help you prosper for the balance of 2020, throughout 2021, and beyond.
To see if we can recapture the magic of some of our past Family Appreciation Events together, we hope you enjoy this video.
We look forward to seeing you again in person soon.
